The Velocity 8U Girls Fastpitch Softball Team is our indroduction into the velocity family. Our coaches are committed to work on learning fundimentals, game stratagies, technics, and player development. Starting at this young age allows our girls to become acustom to the world of Travel Softball. The level of play and commitment is very important to future development, and future success intr avel softball. Our 8U team completes in local travel team events and works with our older team players to gain confidence and see how the game is played at the highest levels.
The Velocity 10U Girls Fastpitch Softball Team is a strong core of players who are excited and ready to take it to the next level. We in the velocity family, are looking for girls who want to practice hard, play hard, and have fun all while competing at the highest level. Our coaches are committed to running efficient practices focusing on not only the fundamentals of softball, but also the mental game as well. Starting at this young age allows our girls to become acustom to the world of Travel Softball. The level of commitment while very important, is introduced at the girls level since this travel softball is a big change from everyday recreational softball leagues.
The Velocity 12U Fastpitch Softball Team is strong on promoting fundamentals, game stratagies, and player improvement. In order to optimize the potential for player improvement, all attempts are made to place players on this team that is commensurate with their skill level. Player skill levels are determined through a combination of tryouts and an assessment of past performance. Our team will play in various leagues as well as enter multiple tournaments in the Chicago metro area.
Velocity 14U
The Velocity 14U Team is a competitive tournament/travel fastpitch softball team affiliated with various leagues and associations. Velocity provides an opportunity for talented young ladies in Northeastern Illinois, and Northwest Indiana to reach their softball and athletic potential in a competitive and supportive environment by providing advanced skills development and playing opportunities for players who want to achieve and maintain a high level of play at their age level in girls fastpitch softball. Our goal is to provide the very best experience possible for our girls and their families while preparing them for softball at the college level.
Velocity 18U
The Velocity 18U Girls Fastpitch Softball Team holds firmly to its founding principal, providing opportunity for girls to participate and learn at a level not available at most high school or regional travel level programs. Velocity Softball is a developmental program providing girls the tools to move as far up the competitive softball hierarchy as their talents and work ethic can carry them. The goal of this team is to play competitive, non-drama softball and to have the ladies improve and be ready to continue a high level of play for their respective High School or College teams. While we do play to win and have had success in the past, it is also a requirement to have fun while playing on this team. Good sportsmanship is encouraged and expected. Our coaching staff all represent 20+ years of coaching and playing in girls fastpitch softball.
