Work Ethic

As with all journeys this one started the same, with it's very first step and it continues to build momentum as time goes on. The Velocity concept started late July 2009 with a group of girls who may have had more heart than talent but it didn't stay that way for long, very early in the Velocity stages it was evident that the player's talent was soon going to match their heart. The Velocity team was started with 15 rostered Rec players in the far south suburbs of Chicago who had a strong work ethic, desire to win, and the uncanny ability to drive and motivate their fellow teammates.

Team Bio

The Velocity players past and present believe that there is no substiture for hard work, dedication, and pure love of the game. Our core values are to work harder than our competion ever dreamed of and to make every second of practice mean something. The Velocity expectation is to be a fundamentally sound team that excepts no excuses as to why something can't be accomplished and accomplished correctly. The team's foundation was built on perspiration and dirt mixed in with hard work and determination

 Desire to win

Watch Velocity play a game it's evident that we leave everything on the field. Win or lose our team walks away with our heads high confident we gave everything we had. The composure of our players stems from the experience and the knowledge that  comes with a 50 game yearly schedule. There is no quit or failure in these young ladie's lexicons.

Teammate

If you look the word teammate up in the dictionary it simply states a member of the same team; that word carries a much bigger connotation to us. When we speak of "teammates" we hold them to the highest regard respecting them and encouaging them. There are no circles among our team and every player on our roster is appreciated for what skill sets they offer. Is Velocity a team, a program, an organization, a brand? Please feel free to refer to us as we do......a FAMILY.
